Positively charming hotel in a perfect location for exploration. The rooms are incredibly well appointed including great coffee service. I was especially excited by the decor and the small touches in the rooms. The staff was positively delightful, from check in to the restaurants to the bar staff. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly pleasant and helpful. Great stay! Thank you!

Every time we have visited Conwy, over the past three decades, we've wanted to stay at the enchanting, welcoming looking hotel in the high street, The Castle Hotel. We treated ourselves to a three night break, in a Superior Double Room only. The room was on the front of the high street and after the first night, I realised that we were not in the original hotel, but an add on above a coffee shop. Bitterly disappointed after this. The room next to us was too close, we could hear everything. It was like we were put out in the stables for a premium price. We frequented the bar on the first night, the staff were rude to us and we heard other patrons saying the same thing. That put us off booking the breakfast and evening meals there. Towels were soiled on arrival, the scatter cushions on the bed smelt of dirty hair etc. We had to ask for toilet rolls and water in the room, the glasses we used during the evening were left in the room for the three nights. Plus every morning, we were awoken at 7 am by the constant noise of recycling trucks, people shouting. I never thought, I would write a review like this, about a hotel I always dreamt of having the privilege to stay in.

We stayed in the Narnia room and loved its charm. It was on the top floor, however, which meant lots of stairs. Thank goodness they offered to carry our bags up for us. The room was very clean, well equipped and large. The location is very handy in the centre of the small downtown area. Parking is across the street or in back. We are at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast the next morning and enjoyed both. There is a large cold breakfast buffet that is included with any entree. Service was slow but we’re in no rush.

My partner ordered me a glass of champagne for my birthday it was not even half full and it was flat the guy said he’s not allowed to fill it to the top as he would get told off never heard that before and you are paying nearly £13.00 a glass standards are not as good as they used to be we have been coming for years to Conwy too shame really

Gorgeous hotel, wonderful staff, very comfortable rooms, cosy bar, great food, incredible views from our roomand the location could not be better. A lovely weekend away where we felt incredibly well looked after from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble

Four of us on holiday with our two dogs. We had no booking but were quickly found a table in a cosy room. Had the best roast lamb meal we had all ever had. A triumph. The dessert menu was excellent. We enjoyed our sticky toffee puddings, creme brulee and ice creams. A truly lovely experience. Many thanks

Really nice hotel and had a great sleep here. The room was a good size and bed was very comfortable. Has hotel parking which is very handy. Good location.

Lovely quaint hotel. Staff very helpful. No lift, so book first floor if you have mobility problems. Would stay again if in that area.
